Munnt Painter
Munnt Painter’s work unfolds in the liminal space between the real and the imaginary, where figurative forms dissolve into a dreamlike universe shaped by soft chromatic transitions and ethereal light. Drawing inspiration from the prism-like refractions of sun catchers, iridescence, and the symbolic purity of white, she constructs immersive atmospheres in which light and matter exist in a delicate yet intentional equilibrium.
Animals, human figures, luminous elements, and botanical details emerge not as decorative motifs, but as sentient presences. They are portrayed as conscious beings, enveloped in an aura of dignity and empathy. Her philosophy informs this perspective, grounding her practice in a profound respect for life. This ethical sensitivity permeates each surface, every brushstroke, shadow, and subtle glimmer becomes an act of attention.
Working with mixed media like charcoal, ink, oil, and acrylic. Munnt explores the tension between material density and visual lightness. The tactile presence of the medium contrasts with translucent layers that evoke the ephemeral. La obra de Munnt Painter habita un territorio liminal entre lo real y lo imaginario, donde las formas figurativas se disuelven en un universo onírico construido a partir de transiciones cromáticas sutiles y una luz etérea. Inspirada en las refracciones prismáticas de la luz, la iridiscencia y el simbolismo del blanco, crea atmósferas inmersivas en las que la materia y la luminosidad conviven en un equilibrio delicado e intencional.
Animales, figuras humanas, elementos luminosos y formas botánicas aparecen no como motivos decorativos, sino como presencias conscientes. Cada ser es representado con dignidad, sensibilidad y empatía, reflejando una profunda convicción sobre el valor de toda forma de vida. Esta mirada ética atraviesa toda su práctica artística: cada superficie, cada pincelada, cada sombra y cada destello son gestos de observación y respeto.

Bio
Munnt Painter is a Peruvian-born visual artist based in Belgium, whose practice explores the emotional relationship between humans and animals through figurative painting and contemporary symbolism. Her work examines themes of memory, vulnerability, identity, and empathy, inviting viewers to reflect on the invisible connections that shape our existence.
Working primarily with oil, acrylic, ink, and mixed media, Munnt creates paintings where the animal becomes a poetic mirror of the human condition. Delicate textures, restrained palettes, and expressive forms reveal narratives of tenderness, resilience, loss, and transformation. Each work seeks to create a space where silence becomes visible and emotion takes physical form.
She studied Visual Arts with a specialization in Painting at the Universidad Autónoma Diego Quispe Tito in Cusco, Peru.
Her artistic career began in Peru, where she received recognition for her work, including the Best Artistic Production Award from the Faculty of Arts in 2020. Since then, her work has been exhibited in both Peru and Europe, including the collective exhibition Barroco Remix at the Fallen Angel Gallery (Cusco, 2021), exhibitions at Lineart Gallery (Belgium, 2024), Kavka Centrum Oudaan (Antwerp, 2025), and DE MINDERE Museum (Belgium, 2025–2026). She has also exhibited in Deinze, Belgium, further expanding her presence within the contemporary European art scene.
In 2025, her work was selected for the EuropArtFair Maastricht, one of the Netherlands' leading international contemporary art fairs, bringing together independent artists and collectors from across Europe. She has currently a new solo exhibition at the Museo de Santo Domingo in Cusco, marking a significant return to her cultural roots and artistic beginnings in Peru.
Today, Munnt continues to develop new bodies of work that investigate the ethical, emotional, and symbolic relationship between humanity and the animal world. Through painting, she invites viewers into contemplative spaces where beauty and discomfort coexist, encouraging a deeper awareness of compassion, coexistence, and our shared fragility.
Based in Belgium, her original artworks and commissioned portraits are held in private collections internationally.

Munnt Painter es una artista visual peruana radicada en Bélgica, cuya práctica explora la relación emocional entre el ser humano y el mundo animal a través de la pintura figurativa y el simbolismo contemporáneo. Su obra aborda temas como la memoria, la vulnerabilidad, la identidad y la empatía, invitando al espectador a reflexionar sobre los vínculos invisibles que nos unen con todos los seres vivos.
Trabajando principalmente con óleo, acrílico, tinta y técnicas mixtas, Munnt crea pinturas en las que el animal se convierte en un espejo poético de la condición humana. Sus superficies táctiles, paletas sutiles y formas expresivas construyen narrativas de ternura, resiliencia, pérdida y transformación. Cada obra busca abrir un espacio de contemplación donde el silencio adquiere presencia y la emoción encuentra una forma visible.
Estudió Artes Visuales con especialización en Pintura en la Universidad Autónoma Diego Quispe Tito de Cusco, Perú.
Su trayectoria artística comenzó en Perú, donde recibió el reconocimiento a la Mejor Producción Artística otorgado por la Facultad de Artes en 2020. Desde entonces, su obra ha sido presentada en exposiciones colectivas en Perú y Europa, entre ellas Barroco Remix en la Fallen Angel Gallery (Cusco, 2021), Lineart Gallery (Bélgica, 2024), Kavka Centrum Oudaan (Amberes, 2025), el Museo DE MINDERE (Bélgica, 2025–2026) y una exposición en Deinze, Bélgica, consolidando su presencia dentro de la escena artística europea.
En 2025, su trabajo fue seleccionado para participar en la EuropArtFair Maastricht, una de las principales ferias internacionales de arte contemporáneo de los Países Bajos, donde expuso junto a artistas y galerías de distintos países europeos. Ese mismo año, regresó a su ciudad natal para un solo exposición en el Museo de Santo Domingo de Cusco, un momento significativo que reafirma el vínculo entre sus raíces culturales y su evolución artística.
Actualmente, Munnt continúa desarrollando nuevas series que investigan la relación ética, emocional y simbólica entre la humanidad y el reino animal. A través de la pintura, crea espacios contemplativos donde la belleza y la incomodidad conviven, invitando al espectador a reflexionar sobre la compasión, la coexistencia y la fragilidad compartida de toda forma de vida.
Desde su estudio en Bélgica, sus obras originales y retratos por encargo forman parte de colecciones privadas en distintos países.
